Japanese Tea Set With Kintsugi Patterns for DAZ Studio

$15.00

Japanese Tea Set
A traditional Japanese style tea set with table, mats, flowers, and a tea service.

About Kintsugi:

This is an art form that was developed in Japan the goal of which was to show beauty in the midst of imperfection. Since this culture already valued the perfection of pottery, it was natural to use the misfortune of a broken piece to show the beauty of that misfortune. Hence, they developed the techniques and artisanship of repair not along the lines (no pun intended) of hiding the break, but along the lines of highlighting the break so that it overlaid the former perfection. Yin and Yan.

We've created normal textures with the Kintsugi overlay option being an independent choice. Every customer gets to decide for themselves whether to show the repaired artwork or the unbroken piece, piece by piece. Moreover, someone who is talented at creating artwork that would compliment pottery or porcelain or anything along those lines can also have the Kintsugi effect applied to their own texture if they choose to do so. In other words, if you want to use the UVs to create a texture, you don't need to worry about the included Kintsugi -- it will work on your texture, too!

Included In This Package:

1 Teapot
1 Bowl
1 Bamboo Wisk
1 Tray
1 Tray Cover
1 Teacup
1 Tatami Mat
1 Planter Box
1 Cherry Blossom 'plant'
1 Tea Powder

3 Textures for all crockery (Black Clay, White Clay, Porcelain)
4 Kintsugi Patterns for the cup and bowl (textures and Kintsugi patterns work on both)
1 Kintsugi Pattern for the Teapot and 1 for the Lid

Various scene subsets for parts which go together (eg, 'teapot and lid', 'tray and cover', etc)
1 Scene subset including all assets arranged for a tea.
